Legacy news is up, and it made me laugh out loud several times, it's so good. It's scary how much I'm enjoying playing a pointless piece of fluff in PR. Who knew I had a hidden extrovert streak? I'm also reminded how much I enjoy writing spin when there's no actual real life evil involved. I haven't had this much fun since I was writing S.I.N.I.S.T.E.R. press releases. (Oh, how I look back in fondness on the halcyon days of 'Operation Die Screaming in Hideous Pain Unless you Give me all Your Money'.) Also, it's slightly weird when the first hint you have that your character has died is when you read about it in the news. (Death is not a huge problem in this system, in case you're wondering. You just come back minus a day's memories.)

Also enjoying my new tabletop character. Somehow I've managed to end up playing Vampire again, and this time I'm playing a worryingly stereotypical goth chick. Of course the concept of an actual goth (albeit a spooky/perky) who's a Real Vampire (TM) is full of inherent amusement. I look forward to exploring it more.

So today, for shits and giggles, I tried to write a letter using the Office 2007 beta.

I can forgive the "New file" menu item being put on a special Office menu button. Possibly I can even cope with the idea that there might not be an ordinary simple letter template. What is absolutely unforgiveable is *hiding the fricking 'undo' feature so well that a minute or so of random digging couldn't locate.

Watch me run back into the arms of OpenOffice.
