Just been looking at a website with a "Surprise me" button on the navigation bar. I was afraid to press it in case it caused a random gorilla attack. That'd be surprising, right?

I don't know. Times like this last few weeks, a gorilla attack would surprise me about as much as it would surprise Marvin; which would I suppose mean that an actual accurately calibrated "Surprise me !" button would do something nice.
