Inch by inch, I am becoming Disgusted of Tumbridge Wells

I love 6 Music. I may only be available on DAB, and thus be regarded as a second class radio station, but even so, they play a selection of intelligent and eclectic tracks that is good enough that I'm not driven to turn off the radio in disgust and boredom, like I am with every other music radio station ever.

But there is a worm in my musical paradise. And that worm goes by the name of George Lamb. There is a episode of Family Guy where Brian and Stewie become radio DJs as the double act "Dingo and the Baby". This is radio lengthened by a whole bunch of inane zings from an effects box. I swear that George f***ing Lamb is actually worse than the radio show portrayed on this parody of everything that's wrong about radio in the modern world.

He's inane. He's sexist. He encourages criminal behaviour (of the "going out on the rob" kind, not the "copy some music files" kind). And he talks way more than plays records (possibly the most heinous sin on a music based radio station). In short, he's a proper twunt. And he's poisoning 6 Music for me. It's hard to listen without being reminded of his lowbrow insulting inane show.

Can't he just f*** off back to Radio 1 or whatever rock it was they dug him out from under and give us some decent music DJ instead?

ETA2: If you're of unlike mind, then there's http://www.keeplambin.co.uk/. So far, the 'outies' are winning. Given that the Offensive One himself has plugged this on his show several times but not given out the URL to Get Lamb Out, it seems as though I'm not alone in feeling this way.

I never listen to it in the morning, so he hadn't really impinged upon my awareness. (But I've signed the petition anyway, as he sounds like a right tosser.)

Not being a listener to 6 Music I have no opinion on the guy himself; however, at least www.getlambout.org.uk displays properly on my browser. The other site seems to be styled to preserve three inches of blank space on the right-hand side at the expense of cutting a slice off the text at the left.

It's interesting, because I've only just started listening to the radio while I'm at work again, and even then not every day, and I too find his show pretty dreadful. I was going to give it a few more weeks and see if I get the hang of it (it's always weird having a new DJ on a slot when you were very familiar with the previous one). Dunno if I'll vote or not though, don't feel like I've given him a fair go yet.

I understand your urge to give him a chance to get used to him. I've listened a few times, but I just can't take any more of it.
