sesquipedalityBIRTHDAY BBQ THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING. People are still expressing surprise at this. I'm not sure why given the amount and frequency of notice given.
Surprise visit from younger sister and niece today. This was a very lovely surpise. Younger sister tells me that she remembers me from childhood as having bullied her. I am somewhat surprised by this as mostly what I remember was her making my life a misery by abusing her status as youngest sibling and the power dynamic being so much in her favour as a result that it is difficult to see how I could have bullied her even had I been that way inclined. Children can, of course, be horrible, and either way I suspect it matters little these days.
Something I should have mentioned about the fiction I posted last week, but failed to do so: It is stand alone and no knowledge of the setting is required to enjoy the story.
